Sonetto is latest from Sonus faber

Another significant debut at this year’s High End Munich expo was the all-new Sonetto range unveiled by Sonus faber.

The new line-up consists of eight models, comprising three floorstanders, two bookshelf speakers, two centre channel speakers and an on-wall model. The latter can be used as a main stereo speaker, or for LCR or surround applications.

The Sonettos were designed and developed at the Sonus faber headquarters in Vicenza, and are also manufactured there. The newcomers have been designed to live up to the high sonic expectations associated with the Sonus faber marque, while also achieving strong value at keen price points, the company claims.

Despite their value-focussed positioning, the Sonettos still feature many elements typical of dearer Sonus faber models, including leather top panels, and the combination of a Damped Apex Dome (DAD) tweeter and a natural-fibre midrange cone.

Also typical of the brand, are the lute-shaped enclosures, use of natural wood, and tactile craftsmanship, augmented by gunmetal-hued aluminium accents. The hardware is solid aluminium, while the reflex port fires downwards to ease room positioning. Available finishes include matte white, piano gloss black, and natural wood.
