Pro-Ject honours Guns ’N Roses

Rock legends Guns ’n Roses have become the latest outfit to star on a limited edition Pro-Ject turntable.

The eye-catching special edition turntable is based on Pro-Ject’s Essential III turntable and features a platter adorned with Guns ’n Roses artwork, as well as a black plinth with a Guns ’n Roses logo.

According to Pro-Ject, the iconic band epitomises the big rock sound, delivered with an honesty and a purity of emotion, and perfectly captured by the analogue recording and production technologies of the time.

The starting point for the special edition turntable is Pro-Ject’s Essential III, upgraded here with an acrylic platter. The Guns ’n Roses artwork is printed directly onto the platter, which has a translucent yellow glow as a result.

The plinth is constructed from resonance-combating MDF resting on decoupling feet, while platter speed accuracy is ensured by an integrated DC motor control system. Other notable technical features include a low-tolerance bearing, and an aluminium drive pulley for the belt-drive system.

The turntable is equipped with an aluminium tonearm, fitted with an Ortofon 10M moving magnet cartridge as standard. A quality phono interconnect cable and hinged dust cover are also included.
